Recognitions I've received that I'd put in a trophy-case if I had one.
On June 28, 2018 the Guelph Chamber of Commerce joined leaders in business, government and community to celebrate the achievements of outstanding local organizations and individuals at the Awards of Excellence Gala. This year I was presented the first Young Innovator Award, presented by CEPS Dean, Mary Wells, which "recognizes an individual under the age of 25 who has demonstrated innovative leadership in their chosen field of profession or study" and who "is dedicated to solving an important and current challenge".
The Graduate Tuitsion Schilarshop was implemented in 2014-15 to assist each college in the Unisversity of Guelph in building application incentives. It is awarded to a single student per year, nominated by their college as a top applicant in their field.
Awarded to fund my attendance and presentation at the People, Places and Public Engagement Conference.
Sponsored by Polar Knowledge Canada (POLAR) to foster science and technology in Canada’s North.
Won 3rd place in the Student Presentation Competition at the Centre for Public Health and Zoonoses Symposium.
The SoCS Travel grant is awarded to student for conferences relating to the field of computer science.
The ElecTrickle Team won 3rd nationally, receiving funding and a meeting with Arlene Dickinson for mobile application.
Won 1st for our Android app named ElecTrickle, which helps communication between users and energy companies.
Sustain-a-Bin was within the top 15 most interesting projects, voted by the community of Guelph.
Won 1st and $2000 at the CBASE for a project that best focussed on social and environmental change, hosted at UoG.
Won 1st for Sustain-a-Bin, the autonomous compost bin which displays the cost of food waste to consumers.
Voted Management Member of the Year after working as a foreman for Treeline Reforestation
Received Multiple Top Racer Awards and the Jonathon Swallow Award for my successes and leadership on the Batawa Alpine Racing Team.
